Cyprus at Easter

Holiday makers in Cyprus at Easter time strolling through the villages of Ayia Napa or Protaras Paralimni would be forgiven for thinking they had been whisked into a scene from Alice in Wonderland.

Giant paper-mâché rabbits, chickens and decorated Easter eggs are commonplace on the corners of the streets in Paralimni, Dherynia, Sotira, Protaras and Ayia Napa as Cyprus celebrates one of the most important times in its calendar year. Anyone taking a self catering Ayia Napa villa holiday or Protaras villa holiday in Cyprus either on their own, as a couple or with families will certainly be in their element with the Easter celebrations. In Ayia Napa around the Ayia Napa monastery you will find symbols of Easter in abundance. If you are booked to stay in one of our Ayia Napa holiday villas or Ayia Napa holiday apartments, Proteras holiday villa or traditional Cyprus village holiday over the Easter period you will be able to enjoy the celebrations and traditions of the Cypriot people.

The fact is while spending summer months abroad in your holiday apartment Ayia Napa or Protaras holiday villa is the obvious choice for holiday makers it is criminal to under estimate the beauty of Aphrodite's isle in the spring. Protaras holiday villa rentals or Ayia Napa holiday apartment rentals are popular at this time and Easter is arguably one of the best times of the year to see traditional Cyprus in its full glory.

A month or so later, the Mediterranean waters have warmed up and Cyprus' greenery has started to disappear which is more commonly noted by the tourists visiting the island. Around April time, Cyprus is perfect for those who enjoy warm but milder temperatures and also want to make the most of Cypriot flora and fauna. My Property Cyprus has accommodation for the holiday maker looking to seek a Protaras holiday villa or an Ayia Napa holiday apartment or even a traditional Cyprus village holiday during the Easter period and all year round.

During Easter time you can take a walk along the stunning near empty golden beaches like Fig Tree Bay in Protaras or tuck into fresh fish in Ayia Napa with a Greek salad alongside Ayia Napa's breathtaking harbour - it really is heavenly. While Lent is an intensely solemn religious time, accompanied by strict fasting, it is then followed by a wonderful celebratory feasting period over Easter - a fantastic time to experience the true depth of Cypriot tradition, Cyprus culture and Cyprus history.

To book a Protaras villa, Ayia Napa villa or Ayia Napa apartment close to the Ayia Napa beaches or even something in the Cyprus villages then contact My Property Cyprus on 00357 23 814 477 or email rentals@mypropertycyprus.com . Protaras - The Perfect Paradise Vacation

Protaras these days is considered one of the top Protaras holiday villa and Protaras holiday apartment destinations for families, couples and single people seeking the guaranteed sunshine, beautiful beaches, fantastic food and a safe friendly atmosphere. Almost up until thirty years ago Protaras was virtually an uninhabited area used mostly for agriculture due to the rich fertile soil. A windmill irrigation system was set up in the 1960's and was used to extract water from deep in the ground and disperse over the rich soil. There is still evidence of this behind the main Protaras tourist area and the Protaras holiday villa and Protaras holiday apartments of Protaras and some of the windmills are still in operation today. Slowly Protaras villas and Protaras apartment holidays have become a popular Protaras holiday resort internationally due to the fantastic golden EC Blue Flag awarded beaches that cover approximately 5km of the eastern Cyprus coastline. Fig Tree Bay protaras is one of the most renowned beaches in Protaras cyprus with lots of beautiful Protaras holiday villa rentals and Protaras holiday rental apartments accomodation. It has beautiful shallow crystal clear waters accompanied by the fine white sands. You can totally relax there or spend a fun day on the Protaras water sports in the peace of mind that between the hours of 9-6 the Protaras beach is patrolled by lifeguards. If you like to snorkel then there is a small rocky island just off the shore in Fig Tree Bay Protaras. Also there are some excellent traditional Protaras restaurants which are open day and night during the season never too far from your Proteras holiday villa rental or Proteras holiday rental apartment. There is a regular Protaras bus service available which runs from the town of Paralimni to Ayia Napa stopping off in Protaras and never too far from your Protaras holiday villa or your Protaras holiday apartment. You can visit the lively town of Ayia Napa which is approximately a 10 minute bus ride from Protaras or alternatively in the opposite direction head for the town of Paralimni.

Protaras over the last 10 years has seen an increase in development. Beautiful Protaras holiday villas and Protaras holiday apartments have been erected along the coastline and on the outskirts of Protaras and many of them are available for Protaras holiday villa rentals or Protaras holiday apartment rentals. With more residents moving into the area of Protaras some bars and Protaras restaurants are extending their opening times outside of the usual holiday season months and even remaining open all year round. During the evening in the holiday resort of Protaras, there are plenty of Protaras restaurants to wet your appetite and bars to relax in after your evening meal you can take a stroll on the newly built promenade which runs adjacent to the beach from the holiday resort of Protaras to the holiday resort of Pernera following the coastline of beautiful Protaras holiday villa and Protaras holiday apartments.

Protaras has everything you will want for a Protaras self catering luxury Protaras villa or Protaras apartment holiday rental. My Property Holiday Villa of the week-Villa Alia-The Landlords review

VILLA ALIA ON THE SEAFRONT OF PROTARAS

Villa Alia is an elegant 3-bedroom detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac, in a unique location on the coast of Protaras, within walking distance from the nearest sandy beaches.

The villa enjoys a stunning, uninterrupted view of the sea (which is right across the villa), and is close to Nausica resort, famous for its crystal clear waters.

Alia is a very comfortable holiday villa, which spreads over 150 square meters and is surrounded by a lovely Mediterranean style garden, with hibiscus plants, fragrant jasmines, bougainvilleas and olive trees.

This beautiful villa is equipped with simple yet elegant and modern, high quality furniture and all the necessary electrical appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and oven, a large refrigerator and an AC unit in every room).

With two double rooms on the first floor and one twin on the ground floor, the villa comfortably sleeps 6 people.

The living room, the kitchen, and dinning room on the ground floor unfold in an open plan, which extends to the outdoor area, where a natural timber deck surrounds the large swimming pool.

Villa Alia is in the heart of Protaras and yet far from the crowd and noise because of its ideal location. And while it enjoys peace and quiet throughout the day and safety during the night the villa is within walking distance from restaurants and tavernas, pubs, supermarkets, shops and pharmacies.

Villa Alia is available for rent throughout the year for a minimum of seven days at a time from Monday to Sunday. If you would like more details about this villa then contact My Property Cyprus, telephone 00357 23 814 477 or email rentals@mypropertycyprus.com

Ayia Napa - the most popular Cyprus beach resort

Imagine a dream Cyprus holiday in a private, self-catering holiday apartment or villa, and Ayia Napa is top of the list. Why? Because Ayia Napa has it all...

Few seaside beach resorts are as accessible as Ayia Napa and it is only 20 minutes from Larnaca International airport. Once you've reached your villa or apartment holiday accommodation, the beach fun for families and couples is at your fingertips.

Visitors from around the world have transformed Ayia Napa into a cosmopolitan centre running along some of the island's most attractive beaches: sugary sands, the clear sea, shallow and safe ‘Blue Flag' beaches and water sports for every temperament, choose from a laid-back pedalo ride to bungee jumping close to Nissi beach.

The international flavour extends to Ayia Napa's dining outlets, with everything from local tavernas to American fast food chains alternating with Asian cuisine, Italian favourites, Irish pubs and much more...

Whether you intend to shop or not it is unthinkable that you will leave Ayia Napa without taking home several bargains. Browse the shops with their abundant stock of souvenir trinkets to precious jewellery, giveaway flip-flops to boutique wear.

The village square around the Monastery is at the heart of the resort of Ayia Napa, and - depending on the season - the scene of festivals, street artists, live music or you may simply prefer a casual stroll in the sun.

Nobody should miss the chance to visit Ayia Napa, if only once to experience it's distinctive, bubbling atmosphere. So when you're ready to set your holiday dates, check out My Property Cyprus for the best value in self-catering holiday rental apartments or luxurious villas in the best locations.

Protaras – the coastal paradise for self-catering holiday accommodation

Often said in the same breath as Ayia Napa, Protaras is like a smaller model of neighbouring village of Ayia Napa, only a few minutes drive or bus ride away from it and about 30 minutes from the International Airport of Larnaca.

Though it echoes the holiday fun of Ayia Napa, Protaras offers you the distinct advantages of its setting: the sweeping beaches, golden sands and water sports of Fig Tree Bay, the hidden seclusion of the tiny coves, and the perfect balance of tranquility and resort activity, for you to mix and match according to taste.

Dotted with self-catering holiday apartments and luxurious villas, Protaras is surrounded with quaint villages with their local churches, coffee shops and cultivated fields that reflect the essence of rural life in Cyprus - all minutes away from the full-scale tourist core of the resort.

Protaras is also the gateway to Cape Greco, an unspoiled extract from heaven. Walking paths crisscross a landscape where rich endemic vegetation meets Mediterranean glitter to create images that even the best holiday snapshots cannot fully capture.

To optimize your Protaras holiday experience - carefree seaside leisure day by day - nothing can compete with the freedom and privacy of self-catering holiday apartments or villas. And nobody offers a bigger variety and greater value than My Property Cyprus. To choose your favourite self-catering holiday apartment or villa, simply click here.

A Unique Holiday Destination, visit Cyprus

Away from the commercial centres, Cyprus offers unparalleled coastlines - miles of un-spoilt coastline, the majestic Mount Olympus in the Troodos mountain range, historical sites and innumerable places of interest to visit. Add to this, a year round climate which offers fantastic summer sun, a mild winter in which people still hold regular outdoor barbeques and an opportunity for people of all ages to participate in a wide range of round the year activities from walking, skiing, climbing, cycling, through to water sports, golf courses, sailing and simply relaxing and taking life easy.

Cyprus is tucked away in the top right hand corner of the Mediterranean and is so close to Europe, Asia and Africa that it rightly, claims to be a stepping stone to all three continents.

As the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea after Sicily and Sardinia, situated in the eastern Mediterranean, south of the Anatolian Peninsula of the Asia mainland, Cyprus is commonly included in the Middle East. Seventy-five kilometres to the north you find Turkey, with Syria and Lebanon to the east, Israel to the southeast, Egypt to the South and Greece to the West-North-West. Politically and culturally however Cyprus is closely aligned with Europe.

The Capital City, Nicosia is located in the centre of the island. All the other major cities are situated on the coast.

Cyprus has a typical Mediterranean climate - warm and dry with little rainfall between November and March. The island experiences mild wet winters and dry hot summers. The high mountain areas are cooler and moister than the remainder of the island.

Average Air Temperature in Cyprus ranges from approximately 16.6 degrees (62 degrees Fahrenheit) Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius (93 degrees Fahrenheit) and Sea Temperature range from approximately 16 degrees Celsius (61 degrees Fahrenheit) to 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit)

The gentle country offers a historical journey dating back over 10,000 years and is teeming with interesting museums, religious and historical sites. After all Alexander the Great and Richard the Lion heart ruled the country, and it is also legend that Aphrodite herself was born here.

Cypriots are open, frank and friendly people. They are among the most hospitable people on earth, always making you feel at home on the island.

Visit Cyprus and the Cypriot lifestyle this year. Why not book your perfect holiday villa or apartment today on line with My Property Cyprus.

Get a Permanent Residency Permit for Europe- (Cyprus)

Cyprus now is giving away Immigration Visas to Join Cyprus and the European Union to eventually become a permanent resident of Europe. There are immigration policies that need to be complied with and these are set below. Please ensure you read and understand the requirements set out below if you are looking to immigrate to Cyprus or into Europe.

How do I become an EU (Cypriot resident) Resident?

When Cyprus Immigration approves you for the permanent living permit, you are automatically allowed to stay in Cyprus permanently for an indefinite period, no need to apply for a visa or to reapply for a new Cyprus entry visa. This is the route we advice all our clients to follow if they wish to live permanently in Cyprus.

If you apply for a Cyprus permanent living permit you will have the option to apply for the Cypriot citizenship as well.

However to achieve this there are immigration visa policies to adhere to which are set out below in detail. Furthermore once you have a permanent visa for Cyprus, you are then allowed to apply for Full Cyprus Citizenship after 6 years. Since Cyprus is part of the European Union you would automatically become a European Union Citizen and you are then freely able to further migrate to UK, Germany, Ireland, Spain or any other European Member state Country.

We would suggest you speak to Prosperous Consultants Immigration Visa Specialists in Cyprus who will be able to give you all the advice on how you should proceed.

For further information please contact us on http://www.prosperousconsultants.com/articlecategories/view/contact-us

Background

According to Cyprus Regulation 4 of the Aliens and Cyprus Immigration Regulations, Cap.105, the Cyprus Commission on Control of Immigration examines appliances for concession of certain applications with a report being sent to the Cyprus Ministry of Internal Affairs who is responsible for granting the relevant authorisations. An alien can only have his Immigration Visa Permit granted if and only if the application raises one of the six categories under Regulation 5 [Category F only relevant for this Memo].

An immigration permit that is granted in relation to Category F is equivalent to an approval for permanent residence in Cyprus and provides the holders of such a permit the ability to be excluded from any time-consuming migratory formalities that the other Categories may place on (non EU (European Union) Citizens or non EU Nationals). However, immigrants that have their Immigration Visa Permits approved are compelled according to regulations, if abroad, to come to Cyprus, within one year, for permanent residence from the date in which the Immigrant Permit was granted. Furthermore, if an Immigrant does not live in Cyprus, for almost two years he loses the right for permanent residence in Cyprus.

According to Cyprus Immigration Policy Regulation 8 of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations, Cap.105, dependants of the Immigration Permit Applicant are also considered as permanent residences in Cyprus. Dependants include children under the age of 18 and/or the applicant's wife.

Requirements for permanent living permits:

1.Cyprus Migration Policy Category F relates to people that are third-country nationals which will not be working in Cyprus but will remain in Cyprus as permanent resident. They must have at their disposal a secured annual income of at least 9568.17 euro and a further 4613 euro for every dependent person who may, for example, emanate from pensions, shares or even permanent deposits. This income however must not emanate from any employment or self-employment in Cyprus but only from abroad. The immigration control board may demand additional income.

2.A further requirement that is essential for the approval of an Cyprus Immigration Permit Visa by the Minister of Internal Affairs is that third-country nationals must purchase a householder residence for ownership-occupancy in Cyprus worth €300,000 or more [preferably, the property must be written on the name of the Immigration Permit Applicant].
Relevant documents required after forms have been completed:

1.Notarised Passport Copy
2.If already a resident in Cyprus, a copy of a residence permit is required
3.Curriculum Vitae (CV)
4.Original documents of Bank Deposits
5.Original documents and Affidavit to prove income from other sources other than employment (e.g. income from shares)
6.Original documents to prove the purchase of property in Cyprus (the contract is required that also states the price of the property)
7.Documents that prove occupation
8.Deed that indicates annual turnover and income from applicant's business
9.Utility Bill (for example, electricity bill to prove the country of residence)
10.Reference Letter from the bank
11.Health Insurance Certificate (Resident in Cyprus)
12.Certificate of Clean Criminal Record
13.Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
